Terms, refunds & privacy

The service
ChapterDesk writes chapter markers, timestamps, show notes and pull quotes for podcast episodes you send us. Orders are one-time payments in USD: $19 for one episode, $49 for three. There is no subscription. The work is AI-assisted (speech-to-text transcription and AI drafting); every timestamp and quote is checked in a separate review pass before delivery.
Delivery
We deliver by email within 24 hours of receiving a working public link to the episode (episodes up to 2 hours long). If we need something from you (for example the link doesn't play), the 24 hours start when we have it. You own the text we deliver and can use it however you like.
Refunds
If we miss the 24-hour window, or you're not happy with the result, email hello@getchapterdesk.com within 14 days of payment and we refund you in full, no questions. For 3-episode packs, unused episodes are refunded on request at any time. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually show within 5-10 business days.
Your content
You confirm you have the right to share the episode with us. We use your audio and transcript only to do your order. We don't publish it, sell it, or use it to train models. Audio and transcripts are deleted within 30 days of delivery.
Privacy
Payments are processed by Stripe on its hosted checkout; we never see or store your card details. We keep your email and order details only to deliver the work, handle support and meet accounting obligations. We don't sell personal data. Audio is processed by our transcription and AI providers under API terms that exclude training on your content. To ask for a copy or deletion of your data, email us.
If we contacted you first, it was a one-off note about your show with free sample chapters. Reply "no thanks" and we won't email you again.
Limits
We do our best to be accurate, but the deliverable is provided as-is; our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it.
